1) An 11-year-old gymnast from West Covina, California, was
suspended from school for doing cartwheels and handstands during
lunch breaks. San Jose-Edison Academy believes that Deidre
Faegre,
the offending student, is a danger to other children.
2) An overenthusiastic father has been arrested for attacking
his
son's American football coach. With Delran High School losing to
Florence High School in a big New Jersey derby, William Waldman
leapt
over the perimeter fence, threw Pete Miles, the Delran head
coach, to
the ground and jumped on him. Apparently, he didn't like the way
Miles had been talking to his son, Dan.
The Waldman family did not leave it there. On seeing the police
move
in on her husband, Annette Waldman also scaled the fence and
started
pulling away one of the officers. Dan, who was playing wide
receiver,
took a break from the game to join in. All three Waldmans have
been
charged.
